Frequently Asked Questions

my work

As a self taught thrower my mugs and pots tend to differ slightly from piece to piece. whilst I try and ensure all mugs in a range match size wise there can be some discrepancies - this is the nature of hand making pottery. with regards to exchanges or purchasing multiples of one design, i can not guarantee like for like pieces or for multiple pieces of a certain design to match exactly

i make small batch pieces which means that i usually have a maximum of 2 of each design available, i hope this makes the piece even more special to you.

Shipping

All parcels will be dispatched within 3 working days and all pieces are available for worldwide shipping! all Deliveries will be made using Royal Mail, within the uk 'Signed For' 2nd Class delivery. Cost of UK postage and packaging starts at £3.55 for a large letter and £4.45 for a small parcel but may increase depending on size, weight and value of parcel. outside of the uk i use royal mail international tracked and signed which is considerably more expensive depending on where you live outside of the uk. although the postage is quite expensive for multiple items in one purchase, this is to cover the cost of the sending a bigger box, once posted i refund the difference.

**please note, if you are local and would like to pick up direct from me at any markets i attend please send me a message after purchasing and i can refund you postage!

returns

If you aren't entirely happy with your purchase from Crock-A-Shwt, I accept returns within 14 days of you receiving your item/s. Please contact me at angharad@crockashwt.co.uk to arrange the details of refund. Any items refunded must be returned undamaged and in original packaging, unfortunately cost of postage will not be reimbursed and will be deducted from the total refund amount.

**please note that i also have seconds available to buy off my shop, these pieces have been discounted for various reasons - be it surface imperfections or wonky pots etc - please read each piece's description and look at the photographs, refunds or exchanges due to the reason/s why these pieces are marked as a second will not be accepted. However if it is because of a different issue refunds/exchanges are available!

Breakages

In the unlikely event that your item/s arrives damaged or broken, please contact me within 2 working days and send photographs of the item/s to crockashwt@outlook.com. As a small batch potter all items are unique and made in small quantities, it may not be possible to exchange for an exact replica, I will do my best to rectify the issue and if necessary a refund will be made.

Packaging

As a small batch ceramicist and an advocate for sustainability, OVER 95% OF MY PACKAGING and marketing material IS EITHER BIODEGRADABLE, RECYCLED, RECYCLABLE OR ECO FRIENDLY - as with any packaging please recycle or reuse responsibly.

with ANYTHING SUSTAINABLE AND BETTER FOR THE ENVIRONMENT THERE IS A HIGHER COST INCURRED, AS SUCH i INCLUDE THIS IN THE PRICE OF EACH PIECE.

**Whilst I use biodegradable packing peanuts where possible, if you do receive a parcel with polystyrene peanuts they are reused from parcels I have received and therefore can be used again.**

MY GIFT WRAP AND STANDARD WRAPPING SERVICES ARE THE SAME, HOWEVER WITH THE GIFT WRAPPING SERVICE YOU CAN INCLUDE A PERSONAL MESSAGE TO BE WRITTEN IN A "FOR YOU" CARD WHICH I WILL PLACE IN THE PARCEL AND THERE WILL BE NO INVOICE - THIS WILL BE EMAILED TO YOU.
